Under Authoring and Proofing Tools, click General. On the Word menu, click Preferences. Recover text from a damaged file. Find the location where you want to automatically save files, and then click Choose.
Excel Documents Keep Opening Mac Utility WillThe browser experience opens files quickly, allows you to make the changes “on the fly,” and best of all –the changes are auto-saved back to SharePoint or OneDrive. That is the default experience for these file types. Run Disk Utility to Repair Word.By default, when you click on Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files from SharePoint or OneDrive, they open up in the browser. The Mac utility will automatically repair the not opening Word file, and you will be able to use it now.
